WELCOME

The Astronomical Observatory (OAQ) of the National Polytechnic School of Ecuador (EPN) has the pleasure to invite professional researchers, post-docs, graduate students, and advanced-level undergraduate students to the first Ecuadorian School of Radio Astronomy.

SCIENTIFIC RATIONALE

Radio astronomy is one of the most-rapidly developing branches of astronomy. Several new facilities are currently being built and developed across the globe. This School aims at introducing the basics of radio astronomy, including available facilities, data analysis tools, and a range of science topics being advanced by radio observations and their theoretical framework.

The I Ecuadorian School of Radio Astronomy will be held on EPN’s campus on the 11th, 12th, and 13th of January,2017. The address of the venue is the following:
